Safety Relay Features & Advantages
The new safety relays from the Phoenix Contact INTERFACE range satisfy the highest requirements for monitoring emergency stop circuits, safety door circuits and two-hand control systems. Special modules are available for contact extension, light grids, process engineering (SIL 3) and for safe time functions. All connections are pluggable and coded.
Emergency Stop/Safety Door: The PSR safety relays provide up to eight enabling current paths and one signaling current path for monitoring emergency stop circuits and safety door circuits.
Light Grids:PSR Relays provide three enabling currents paths and one signaling current path to monitor light grids.
Safe Time Function:Using appropriate devices, applications that require time-delayed contacts (e.g. locked protective covers or dynamic processes) are switched reliably and precisely up to safety category 3/4 according to EN 954-1.
TWO –Hand Control System:In accordance with DIN 574, the occurrence of two hand control systems must be monitored to < 0.5 s. Timing is reliably checked and evaluate by appropriate modules of the IIIC category type.
Contact Extension/ Positively driven contacts:Often more contacts are needed than are available as a standard. Positive-action contact-extension modules are used for these applications. They can be connected as modules as required.
Safe Isolation:Depending on the version, the modules have safe isolation between input and output and between the contacts. Applications with 230 V low voltages can be connected reliably and safely.
